The body science lab for curious kids
PeekaLab is an interactive body scanner for kids and parents. Using a simulated ultrasound-style interface, parents can "scan" their child's tummy (or teeth, or ear) and watch cute animated creatures appear — Toby the unhurried water bear, Whiskers the speedy slipper-swimmer, Glimmer the glow-friend, and many more.
It's not a medical device. It's a shared moment of magic and laughter between a parent and child.
Each creature in PeekaLab is inspired by a real tiny creature scientists actually study. Toby is a tardigrade — the famous "water bear" that can survive outer space. Whiskers is a paramecium, the fuzzy slipper-shaped microbe every kid meets under a school microscope. Whirly is a rotifer, Boing is a vorticella on its springy stalk, and Cy is a copepod whose scientific name really is Cyclops.
Every discovery shows a real biology fact — kids learn about their organs without even noticing.
PeekaLab runs entirely in your browser. No data ever leaves your device. No accounts. No tracking. No data collection. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
PeekaLab is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once loaded, it works completely offline. Install it to your home screen for instant access anytime — no internet needed.

Every creature's biology fact is checked against real science — tardigrades really do survive space, a paramecium really rows on thousands of cilia, copepods really are the most numerous animals on Earth. The creature illustrations and this site's copy are produced by the PeekaLab team with the help of AI tools, then reviewed by a human for accuracy and to keep everything kid-safe. PeekaLab is made by an independent developer, not affiliated with any medical or health organisation.
PeekaLab is a free, playful body scanner for kids and parents. Using an ultrasound-style interface, you sweep a pretend probe over the body and discover friendly animated creatures — each one based on a real tiny animal or microbe scientists study — while learning true, kid-friendly biology facts.
No — PeekaLab is purely for fun and learning. It does not scan a real body, take any measurements, or give any medical information. It is a science toy and a shared moment of curiosity between a parent and child.

Yes! Each creature is inspired by a real tiny creature — Toby is a tardigrade (water bear), Whiskers is a paramecium, Cy is a copepod whose genus is really named Cyclops — and every discovery teaches an accurate fact about the body part it lives in.
